Orbs - Asleep next to silence (2009)

Orbs is a supergroup consisting of Dan Briggs of Between the Buried and Me, Adam Fisher and Clayton Holyoak of Fear Before the March of Flames and Ashley Ellyllon of Abigail Williams.^[1]

The band began in the spring of 2008 as an online project working across the United States in a similar fashion of The Postal Service. The band takes a similar sound of the progressive rock of Between the Buried and Me and the later experimental sound from Fear Before the March of Flames.

According to their official site, the sound and lyrics are to represent space and nature.

The band will record their debut album in early 2009.^[2] According to a MySpace bulletin, the title will be "Asleep Next to Science". A 7" release will happen some time this fall.

Mika (bajo) de 68 por muerto, Gris
Rafx (Voz) Acaro, 68 por muerto
Vecerro (voz) este ultimo siempre con las bandas pero desde el otro lado de la lente, literalmente, ya que es fotografo desde hace muchos años

Una banda de Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico, que tocaban una especie de Rock alternativo, pesadon, con voclistas femeninas, pero muy aguerridas.

La alineacion era:

Jorge Sifuentes en la bateria, Fer Ortega en el bajo, que venian de tocar con Barbas Tengas,
Valeria Villarreal y La Rana en la voz, DJ hierbas en la tornamesa, y a en la guitarra Azael, que tocaba con Anaconda y Crack.

En este grupo tocaron Chava Soto y Anibal Resendez en la guitarra, no al mismo tiempo, Chava fue de los iniciadores del grupo, y despues vendria Anibal a remplazarlo. y despues se quedaria Azael, ya que los dos antes mencionados tocaban con La Flor del Lingo.

Definitivamente el 2009 nos esta dejando cosas maravillosas en la musica, este disco lo he estado esperando por mas de 7 años, y no me defraudo!


datos curiosos:

Musicalmente producido por Toby Driver

Nombraron como productores ejecutivos a los 87 fans que donaron lana para hacer el disco, algo que salio de un comentario de uno de ellos, cuando les dijo, "¿porque no hacen otro disco, no tienen dinero? yo les mando pero haganlo!", Toby Driver puso la cuenta de Paypal y se genero todo!

La pintura que hace de Portada para el album es de Toby Driver, y da continuidad a las otras portadas de los discos anteriores.

El disco solo sera regalado, no se vendera! ni tampoco se haran Cds o Lps, hasta ahora... (tambien puedes hacer donaciones jejeje)

Puedes escuchar el album AQUI... leyendo las letras y navegando a traves de las pinturas especialmente hechas para estas canciones por Toby Driver.

En la PAGINA hay tres formatos de descarga, Mp3, Wav y Flac y te explican el porque de las tres, que es en realidad la calidad del archivo.
